  Scared Enough?

The face expressions are most the engine have to offer.
Ghost Master Review

Overall: 7.6/10 ( Good )

Not kickass, not much difficulty either.

Gameplay: 8

You start out as a ghost master with a job to scare people out of their houses. Command a bunch of ghosts, put them into the house and go get some thing to eat while your smart ghosts scare those living into submission. But there are strange quests like revealing bodies to the occupants of a house or get humans to perform witchcraft and feed a powerful ghost souls.
The ghosts range from indoor/outdoor ghosts, to electronic or water ghosts. They have their own special arsenal of powers like numb or "Scared To Death" where the victim faints after seeing the ghost. The tutorial is straight forward and easy too. Ghost Master allows you to train your ghost in getting new powers to either help you in winning or to complete some mission.

The human AI isn't what you call spectacular, they keep on running away from the ghosts just to get to the side of the map and stay there until they calm down. The humans work on this 3 factors: Fear, Belief and Madness. They run when they are scared, looks at ghosts and don't care if they believe too much and turn mad when they get to angry with the supernatural. They all also have their own personal fears like fire or darkness. A bug in them causes them to freeze up and they would interfere with your mission goals. It is annoying to go through the mission all over again because of 1 frozen human.

The lack of difficulty is the most prominent problem. You just get a bunch of ghosts and let them do their jobs. Simple as that. Maybe this game is targeted at younger audience, but the "blood" is horrible. Poorly design camera controls is the main thing that annoy me. It is rather easy to control the ghosts even there is no need to.

Watch as your ghosts do the job for you.

Graphics: 8

The graphic could be The Sims 2 though I hope not. The humans have their facial expressions and the ghosts have their powers. All done in glorious 3-D. The facial expressions are none I ever seen. Very very nice and the ghosts are rather green but nice still.

The textures of everything is mostly repeated and poorly made. But at least it is still believeable. The humans look believeable but stiff and mostly also repeated texture.

Stop picking your nose!

Sound: 9

The music scores are good. But repeated sometimes. Screams and moans are there but to soft as the music cover it all up. The ghosts sounds like they are screaming which annoys me.

Replayablity: 5

A 'Time gate' to travel back into time to scare the same people over and over again can get boring. Don't expect it to be exciting as the levels are repeated and is just plain boring to play again.

Reviewer's Opinion: 8

Funny and a timekiller. But it is sometimes absurd and the humor is sometimes lost. I encountered some bugs (explained in gameplay) and camera problems. It is alright overall, not too bad, but not too good either.

boo!
